Ain't Nobody Here
Managed to bring my PC back to life yesterday and everything seemed to be working. However now, Internet Explorer and Firefox just won't open . Emails work (and YS's World of Warcraft) so the connection is ok. I just can't open a browser . Any ideas? Lewis
The only thing I'd say is reinstall them from a memory stick or CD?
Ain't Nobody Here
I'll try copying IE onto a memory stick and see if that works . Thanks
Geoid
Don't use IE. Its too intergrated into windows, use firefox
Ain't Nobody Here
Don't worry Fred I do use Firefox (but I thought you had to have IE installed on your system?) I managed to copy both onto a memory stick, and have got Firefox running . I'm downloading IE8 but don't plan to use it (is that a waste of space then ?) Geoid
No, Windows needs IE to work. (Stupid I know)
The Dogmother
Did you get it working ANH? I had a similar problem a while ago and reistalling them both worked.
Ain't Nobody Here
Yes, I did, thanks . IE wouldn't load from the memory stick but Firefox did so I used that to then download IE off the internet. All working nicely now . (And I'm quite proud of myself for fixing it .) During the process I discovered that Virginmedia give you free online backup space for your files and emails/addresses etc so will probably use that as a second backup .
