Not my new car!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

we had a lovely christmas until I went back to my car, parked in the lane outside SIL house, someone had s"Ooops, word censored!"ed past it with a small pick up or trailer judging by the damage & did not bother to leave me a note on the screen or knock the door, there is no way they did not realise they had damaged my car  there is no through traffic so anyone going down that lane lives there or is visiting, oh & the farmer who comes along twice a day to feed his sheep. Whoever did iit without owning up is is a rotten so & so

That is rotten! What a miserable so and so! My OH got his car scratched deliberately all down one side just before Xmas by someone who went on a spree and did over 100 cars in one night! Luckily the police got him but he has only been given a minor punishment.

Whoever did yours was probably over the limit which was why they didn't stop.

Will it polish out or will it be a bodyshop job?

I'd say definitely worth asking about CCTV in case there is some. People like that make me so cross! Our BIL had his car "keyed" while parked outside our house - it has never happened to ours.

It doesn't help that the perpetrators get off with a telling off or and ASBO (which they treat as a badge of honour) or a driving ban (which, considering most of them are about 12 years old is hardly a punishment since they shouldn't be driving in the first place!).

I damaged my car being guided around a large, stationary lorry trailer by the lorry driver. What really annoyed me was I allowed him to encourage me to make a turn in my car that I didn't feel comfortable with and dragged the sharp corner of his trailer down two door panels. What a mess with paint completely removed and big, deep and sharp gouges out of both doors. I eventually took it to a small body shop as recommended by an impressed friend and was amazed to find that they quoted £400 to fully repair and spray the damage. No point in claiming insurance and I will never ever trust another person to guide me in a car against my better judgment!
