CAMPYLOBACTER: Anyone else had it?

Is anyone else's cube door partially jammed? I was terrified that my fat girls would not be able to get out of the gap this morning, but thankfully they managed it.

 

I have not been well, and do not want to go out in the freezing weather to investigate fully. Is it likely there is some ice somewhere blocking the mechanism? If so, I will wait with my fingers crossed and hope my Cochin doesn't get any fatter.

Not sure because I don't have a cube, the door itself is fine, but the egg port does stick when its frosty because the snow settles and freezes over the crack. I just get something to go around the edge with and its fine

Is there something behind the door that is blocking it? If you have straw in the cube that can do it. Open the lid if you can to see if it's this.

 

Otherwise, I can't think of a reason unless the push/pull mechanism is slipping and/or is frozen? I have a pre-loved cube which has a slightly looser than normal door opener, but you just have to fiddle with it once in a while.

Mine has been fine, but the poo trays sometimes freeze in place. The door has worked well. I don't know how my chubbly little Blodwyn would manage if the door wasn't fully open!
