Urgent help needed again please

Recommended Posts

I went to put on the tea tree spray this morning and noticed that Charlotte has a bit of skin missing . It is kind of on a boney bit so there isn't any flesh but there is definately an edge to it.

What can i do for the moment and what is the powder stuff i can put on it that i read about on here somewhere? Do i have to buy it from a vet ?

At least it has rained a little bit here but there is still lots of snow. I HATE SNOW !!!!!!!!:evil: but i should be able to get somewhere today and buy whatever it is i need.

THanks for any tips xxx

the chap at the farm says they do have gentian violet spray about £5.oo and he thinks they have wound powder but it is not for chickens but animals in general. Is the wound powder a specifc horse thing that you all use on chickens and is ok for them ?

Wich shall i buy or shall i just buy both?

i went to the farm and he didn't quite have what i specifcally phoned up to ask for

He had something similar called Aloe Vera purple spray which "supports the natural healing of minor cuts, abrasions, broken and chaffed skin" by NAF CARE . I thought naf was quite funny myself but it was the initials of Natural Animal Feeds. I bought it anyway as it does contain Methyl Violet as the first ingredient and then Aloe Vera- have i done the right thing :(

I'm getting really fed up with everything, not just the pecking.. :(:(
