how much xeno 450 spot on for lice?

noticed that 1 of my chucks has lice :( so bought some xeno 450 spot on but i dont know how much to put on? 2 of my chucks are a GNR & PP and the other 2 are orps (one of the orps is still young and not fully grown although bigger than GNR & PP ).

do i withdraw the eggs for 1 week?

i assume (ive only had chucks since oct 09) i treat all 4? :roll:

Sorry to butt in on this thread. I noticed lice on my girls yesterday and dashed out and bought Barrier Louse Powder as that was all the local animal and pet shop had. It's made from totally natural ingredients so no need to withdraw eggs. You just dust the birds with it and make sure it's well rubbed into the feathers so it reaches the skin. I inspected the girls this afternoon and I can't see any lice so the powder must be doing its job. It is a two handed and rather messy job to apply the powder but at least you don't have to throw the eggs away.

thanks Christian. i weighed pumpkin GNR a couple of hours ago on the bathroom scales and she weighed between 1.5 & 2kg. it wasnt very accurate! :?

yes it does translate to alot of drops :?

i put 2 drops on the smaller ones and 4 on the big un. heres hoping thats right :roll:

My vet treated ours for lice with Xeno spot on (don't know if it is exactly the same one) and put two drops each on them and they weigh just over 2kg, he did repeat the dose 10 days later on Carol who had visible lice but I think this was only a precaution. Unfortunately he recommended 28 days egg withdrawal. :(
