I am a 13 year old boyand I don't like it for one reason only.I NEVER GET ANYTHING AND I AM SO LONELY.Okay that is 2. This is as I am rubbish with girls. Oh well.

 

Alex, I hated valentine's day for exactly the same reason I doubt that you are rubbish with girls. All of the over confident boys seems to get the girls at your age but what you don't see is that a lot of the really great girls hang on until they are a bit older and go for the more sensitive boys like you. Just enjoy being mates with girls for now you will be more relaxed with them if you are not trying to chat them up or impress them. You will enjoy them as friends and then when the time is right you it will be easy to ask one out

We ignore it completely - the following week is our wedding anniversary and that is much more personal and important to us.

 

My OH does romantic stuff for other reasons - he's brilliant at surprises.

We don't bother with carrds or presents any more. We're planning on going to the cinema to watch Avatar next week, so we're calling that our Valentines treat.

 

Are we the only ones who also don't buy each other Christmas cards? We do do birthdays!

No Christmas cards, Valentines cards or Mothers day etc etc here - we do make an exception for Birthday cards though.
