Karen & co.
As you may know we are at the moment living in a rented house whilst our house is being extended. But we have had to leave the girls in our garden Anyway, Mark has just come back from walking the dogs and checking up on the chooks , and the brickie has been telling him he loves watching our girls, it has even almost put him off eating chicken, and he has been talking to his girlfriend, and friend's wife and is trying to talk them into getting some chooks What a clever man

Gary the builder is fascinated by our chickens....he's been here since Sept.... and is pondering. He is talking of making a wooden ark for next to nothing. I've told him he should make them and sell them on Ebay! The eggs that I give him have been the clinchers.

kannie
We had the tree surgeons in to prune our apple trees the other day, and when I came home I found 2 garden chairs arranged by the eglu!
Cate in NZ
What a strange coincidence, workmen must generally be fascinated by chickens . We had a central heating problem just before Christmas, and got a plumber in to fix it. He was a great guy, fixed it, but wasn't sure if he'd dealt with the entire problem or not, ie whether one of the pipes in the bathroom floor was leaking. So close to Christmas he didn't want to dig up the bathroom floor, nor were we too keen on that being done. Whilst he was here he spent ages watching the hens and asking questions about them. Difficult to get him away from the kitchen window and into the bathroom to work in fact Anyway, long tale, but the repair wasn't effective at all, so we called him back. He fixed it properly, and refused all payment (said it was his fault for not doing the job properly in the first place)............ except a dozen eggs, 6 each for him and his apprentice
