I can't help thinking that Stefan in The Vampire Diaries

 

 

looks alot like a young Morrissey (but with a less impressive quiff)

Actually,I have given up on this show - its just one Vamp show too far for me,& was soooo similar to Twilight

I am pushing thorugh and watched the third episode last night.....it was worth it just to see the beautiful Stefan.

 

Anyone else thinks that Damon looks like a prettier Rob Lowe?

The Vampire Diaries were writen in 1991, a looooonnngg time before twilight ever happened, twilight just got popular first and twilight has copied things, at least these vampires dont sparkle =P. The Vampire Diaries books are amazing =D

I like the fact that they sparkle in twilight. I cant stand vampire diaries, bad acting too!

It had a dreadful review in the Times, so I decided not to watch. My viewing was getting dangerously Vampire related (True Blood, Twilight, Being Human, Buffy re-runs, Angel re-runs )

Cleo & I gave it a fair shot, but season 1 of True Blood arrived today,& we are watching that instead.

First time for her,although she has read the books,& she is loving it

Well..........i read books 1 & 2 of the Vampire diaries and they were good!

 

A lot of Stephanie Meyers Twilight could have been lifted straight from the pages...word for word almost! There is even a male friend who at one point is dressed as a .......................werewolf!

 

Oooh and I now need to decide if I am Team Stefan or Team Damon

 

Now...don`t get me wrong......I am still waiting for my vampire in a volvo to turn up and whisk me away off into the moonlight and the Twilight Saga is still IMO better than these books as you "feel" more when reading from Bellas point of view but these are ok and I have ordered the next three as I want to knows what happens.

Have to say I was very disappointed with the Vampire Diaries. The acting is dire and everyone is a bit too polished - its like Beverley Hills 90210 with teeth!!

I assume the reason that ITV2 show it so late as they are unimpressed too! There seems to be no content so far that needs to be shown after the watershed IMO.

 

I will carry on watching with a pinch of salt....i didn`t think episode 3 was too bad but then I was ironing whilst I watched.

I agree it's not brilliant, but I think I will persevere a bit longer. Stefan is very cute. I didn't like Twilight much, so never saw the second film. I was a huge Buffy/Angel fan though, so maybe I'm just regressing!

 

I thought Damon looked like a cuter Rob Lowe too. I quite like the "bad boy" image. The actor who plays him was Boon in Lost and DD has the hots for him, so it's something we're watching together.

me thinks someone is a little bitter they Meyer wrote is SO much better!

 

it was clever of the writers though....as scenes from the V.diary books are copied in Twilight.

Not that I am wishing ill for the lovely Damon....I am on book three and he has redeeming qualities!
