Is it common for hybrids to go broody?

 

What are the early signs?

One of my hybrids goes broody at the drop of a hat - she must think she's a pure breed!

Signs, sitting on the next box all day long, sometimes growling at everyone and everything and plucking feathers to line the nest

one of mine was broody for weeks and weekd recently....she's only just snapped out of it

I've had several of my hybrids go broody......and two of them have successfully raised chicks.

Hi my hybrid delia went broody and hatched me 4 ducklings she was a brilliant mum but sadly died when the ducklings were 9 weeks old i was gutted.

Last summer one of my hybrids was constantly broody! She was a bit flightly before taking to the nest and walking around with her feathers raised. She was unceremoniously taken from the nest box and plonked on the lawn more than once - she was persistant though, I'll give her that!
