Willow
Following on from the bizarre wanted posts people put on Freecycle/freegle I wondered if anyone else had a odd freecycle offer they knew they really didn't need and would never have bought but were unable to resist. Sitting in a box in my hall is a small PBX that I don't need but found myself unable to resist when I spotted it on freecycle. A PBX is a small telephone exchange. This one will convert 2 incoming telephone lines to 6 extensions and will apparently do VoIP as well. I don't actually have 2 incoming lines so I can't even install it and try it out right now but we might have an additional line some time in the next couple of years and both DH and I were convinced we would be able to make it work. No idea how the person offering it got it as although he knew what it would do at a high level he didn't know what it was called. If we do get this set up in the future we could provide every member of the family with personal phonelines and numbers And there was me trying to declutter
Snowy
I love it, what a fab 'toy' My unable to resist was 3 seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on video. Trouble is I then had to buy the remaining 4 seasons off ebay so that I could watch it end to end. So not a bargain at all really, and takes up a lot of room. Happy chickens!
at pbx can't use. at chickens - our group won't allow live animals on it. oddest thing I was going to get was a wishing well - do a lot of fundraising at my local sports club and thought it would come in handy. Only 8 miles away to collect it.... but turned out to be about 8ft high made of brightly coloured fibreglass, would have had to hire a van, then I don't know where we would have put it, so regretfully had to change my mind!
