jimnpaula
Have finally taken away all traces of the cabbage. I hung one up for them 2 days ago. Since then they have all been standing on the upper level as far from it as possible. I took it away yesterday and left some shredded leaves, but still no joy. So I took it all away this morning. Business returns to normal - except for the pecking (see other thread about purple spray!) P

Falkor
Arrrh the scary cabbage of death!!! The first time I hung a cabbage they wouldn`t even come out of the cube!! Now they accept that cabbages are yummy food and not instruments of torture sent to blow them up! My LF lot take a couple of days to accept anything new into their run. They have had the remnants of a brussels stalk in there for a week and it was only this morning that they started to peck at it. I reckon that is will be stripped bare by the time I get home from work today The bantams seem to be a lot more accepting of new things or maybe they are just braver! Henhathnofury
I once went out with a white towel on my head and my gingernut went mad - a complete panic. Flapping, squawking, trying to fly over a high fence.....We then found out she loathes all things white....they do develop funny phobias - I think it must be in their nature..... C&T
Mine still loath brussel sprout trees... Petrified they were! Quite funny really... But did have to move it, as it was near their water, and they wouldn't even drink in case the brussels got them!!
