legend21
depends how big the gaps are, I can see into my cube in daylight from certain angles, I am sure this is to allow ventilation for the girls. I am sure it will be okay as they must build loads of them Jackie
Lewis
Welcome to the forum I think they are ventilation gaps. Could you get a photo (upload it to imageshack) and maybe people will be able to give you an answer, also you could try phoning/emailing Omlet - fab customer service
duvvers
Thanks for your help and Lauren at omlet has sent the pics i took to designers, and after a jiggle from me making sure the cube was level the gaps dont seem so bad as they say the proof is in the pudding i'm getting my first 2 hens on monday
Plum
Gaps are normal and mine has never leaked.
Treekeeper
After having an eglu I was suprised athe th amount of gaps/ daylight but it doesn't leak and the chooks have got the hang of getting up the ladder. I still need to persuade them that they shouldn't be sleeping in the nest box! If it was a competition to see how many chooks can fit in a nest box I think mine would win as they all seem to pile in on top of each other and there is enough room to fit a small hefalump in the roosting bar section
