Janty Posted March 6, 2010 Share Posted March 6, 2010 If I didn't think that Lakeland were brilliant before, I definitely do now. Their customer service is outstanding. I bought a hand held steamer from Lakeland to clean an oven ages ago. Before I got a chance to use it, the oven broke down and we replaced it. I took the cleaner into school to clean the school ovens last week and it wouldn't work. This was the first time it had been out of the box so I took another look at the instructions and when I was sure that it wasn't anything I was doing wrong, I tried to contact the manufacturers. The manufacturers had gone bust so I rang Lakeland and explained that although I wasn't expecting them to replace it or anything, could they suggest anything that I was doing wrong. They told me to take it back to store and it would be replaced or I could have a refund. I explained that I didn't have the receipt and that I bought it ages ago and so I didn't expect them to do this. They said that this was ok and to take it back to the shop and a credit note would be issued. I went into Norwich today, took back the steamer and got myself a nice bamix. What a shop!
