Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Lovely patterns on there - the chicks one is great (and the first kniitng pattern I've seen with "optional" hairspray)

That pattern was featured in an issue of Simply Knitting a few years ago and I think a few members on here actually knitted one!

 

I have to admit I'm not an Alan Dart fan though as I find his patterns far too complicated and written in a strange way.

I knitted this one when it was in the magazine a while back. It wasn't one of the nicest things I've ever done. I've never really been very pleased with it - its sitting looking at me right now!

Well I once knit that & erm I'm ashamed to say my chicks still look like peanuts. They have no eyes or beaks! I just sort of forgot about those important features. I've since gone off it. Perhaps I'll offer it in free to a good home for someone to love & make the chicks faces!

I love knitting & Alan Dart patterns. Although Debi Birkin's are far easier.
