Went to farmers auction last week and bought 3 lovely lavander Pekin Bantams (Temporary names Bossy Boots, Scaredy Cat and Cry baby) as well as a house and small run . Didnt like the house at all - really awkward to get into and i couldnt sleep for worrying about foxes - so ordered an Eglu, extension and cover and they arrived today! They love it and so do I . I bought an extra cover thingy and together with the one that comes with the eglu most of the run is covered and they are happily running about despite the wind and rain. Do you think they want to go back into the old coop? They can see it from the Eglu run and are standing at the door squacking. My neighbours might complain. Covered up the old coop and 2 of them went to bed. One wouldnt go despite being rounded up by top hen and got distressed so I tried to pick her up and of course she escaped. Much flapping ,screeching and running round the garden later and they are all finally tucked up in bed. How old are they?
