tom123
Never heard of that before! Have never had to insure my birds when I take them to shows. Will have a look over the schedules and entry forms to see if it says anything though.

Exhibitors must co-operate with the stewards on duty at all times. 9. Stewards will be vigilant at all times, assessing the temperament of animals and the Association ask that exhibitors co-operate with the stewards by informing them of any concerns and assisting to bring an animal under control, should this be necessary. Vets will be on duty during show days and can be accessed by radio link via Section Chief Steward or show office. 10. Muster stations/Assembly points will be clearly marked and crowds will be directed to the appropriate points via the stewards and announcements when/if necessary. 11. Redwing
Sorry Josh, bit of a drama at home this evening.. I would say its just so that if your birds are injured, damaged by someone or stolen that the show wont accept responsibility so you would need to have insurance of your own in place - personally I dont have insurance for my birds at shows, I would just cover the costs of any problems myself You could phone the secretary of the show and ask, they are always happy to answer quuestions and encourage people to come to the show
