Lorimer73
For any of you who have read my walk in run post you will know what Evil Emma, our very intelligent chicken has already been up to. As I was working on the run the other day she managed to get into the vegetable section, which is enclosed by netting, when my back was turned! Well yesterday she again decided to jump from the eglu run onto the fence, then off the fence into our neighbour Ray's garden. I spotted her from the bedroom window before she had done too much damage to his daffodils! Now no one is going to believe me, but this is what happened. I leant over the fence called Emma, she looked at me, I slid the fence panel up (this what Ray did last time when he shooed her back through) I called her again and she slowly and calmly walked under the fence panel and came back into the garden and started pecking at what is left of the lawn! Valkyrie
I think a fair few know their name but choose either to ignore me if I'm telling them off, or run like the clappers if there's something else going on. Although our silkie thinks her name means hanky panky and will squat when called (ask Space Chick).
legend21
I believe it, my dippy comes when called, but as she is my favourite (most bullied) I always have a sneaky little treat for her, but butters has got wise to this and when I call Dippy the two of them come running Smart little girls Jackie
