Unsecure chicken perches

I've just been to alovely little craft fair in Sywell, NOrthants. There were some lovely stalls there, lots of jewellery and a knitting felter who made beautiful bags....

 

But I was really taken by some pictures.....from a distance they were like paintings but when you got close up they were embroidered landscapes, absolutely stunning. The lady was very friendly and told me she paints the backgrounds and then embroiders the detail in. They were all different and I thought quite reasonable considering the amount of work which had gone into them. I bought a small poppy picture with trees in the background, which was £19 ready framed!!! Some of the pictures were done so that the embroidered spilled out onto the mount, which was so effective.

 

Anyway, I thought it might insire some of you sewers out there.....this is her website!

Ps I was even more impressed by her because she trusted me to take away the picture and two handmade cards, with the promise of me sending a cheque on as I didn't have enough cash with me

Very pretty Beckworth Emporium is near there as well. I like it there Mind you not sure it would have been open today.

I agree Claire, Beckworth Emporium is fab.....their coffee shop is lovely, with very healthy cakes, very small too....

 

It didn't look open when i came past.....but I'll bet it is tomorrow if you find yourself over in that direction!!
