I have had my four girls for two weeks now and they are happily settled in with one laying but they dont seem to like the glug. They all use it but dont seem to drink a lot and when they are free ranging they will go to any puddles about (quite alot at the moment) and drink from them. As an alternative to the glug I fill an old ice-cream tub with water for them to use in their run. They do use the glug but seem to enjoy finding other sources of water. abwsco Posted April 4, 2010 Share Posted April 4, 2010 I take it that it's the super glug you have. I know some people have had to show their chickens that water comes out of the bottom of them. The girls got the idea of how to use it quite quickly but just seem to prefer getting there beaks into the water rather than using it. Is the normal glug like a bowl of water? I do this too although they still prefer puddles They never took to drinking from the super glug. They would use it but under protest.
