jam
First of all, i'd like to post some pics, but I cant work out how to put the uploaded pics from photobucket onto omlet. Help!
Janty
When you hover the mouse over a pic on photobucket, four options drop down. Click on the 4th option and copy. Then paste onto your reply on the forum. Hope this makes sense.

jam
Ok got it, lets hope it works These are the adorable chicks that hatched yesterday morning and last night A strange thing though, there were ten eggs in the incy, and eight of them hatched (two of them are still in there) but there are nine chicks... Are twins a possibility? Im pretty sure ive counted them correctly, ive done it enough times! And another puzzle, this chick is supposed to be a pekin X frizzle (apparently) but it has no feathers on it legs, so could it be pure frizzle? Sorry, i cant get the picture to go any smaller Edited April 11, 2010 by Guest
half dozen
Congratulations Scarlett!!!!they are beautiful.......could the twins have been from a double yolker........
Redwing
Its not completely unknown to get twins from a double yolker but they normally dont hatch without intervention and one or both of the chicks are normally very weak and dont survive Could there have been 11 eggs to start with? Could someone have popped an egg in the inccy to confuse you as a joke?
jam
well originally there were 14 eggs, but after the first candle 4 were binned, infertile etc, and then there were 10 eggs, eight have hatched. There are 2 left in the incy atm. So i suppose twins must be the answer lucky me! and its my first hatch too! Any thoughts on the 'frizzle' chick? Redwing
I'm not so sure I think you'd know if you had twins there, I dont mean to doubt you I just think its more likely that there was a counting error somewhere, we have all done it It could be pure frizzle, it depends on how much you trust the origins of the eggs
tom123
Lovely chicks Scarlet You might have done what I have done countless times and mistaken two eggshells on top of each other as an egg waiting to hatch. I left the incy running for 3 more days and then when I went to candle it was just egg shells Definitely no pekin in there
jam
Thanks guys. I can see where you're coming from about the number of eggs, and miscounting them does sound just like the kind of thing i'd do! Oh well. Still, I got more chicks than I was expecting, and an extra breed!
