dear all,

i am probably being really blond, but why can't i post in FAQ areas? it's telling me its locked. i have done before (ok was last november)

do i need to post in, for example the chicken area?

 

sorry feeling really silly cos its bound to be an obvious answer!

The FAQs are there for people to refer to. They are locked so that they contain precise info (not always ) and are for reference.

 

The chicken section below is for general questions.

So, it appears I am being dumb, and also, apparently, rather bad with my grammar!!

 

I obviously didn't post in this section! so, I shall add forgetful to the list.

 

it did seem rather odd that these were locked as they seemed to be 'normal' posts

I've just had a trawl through the faqs and they didn't strike me as being messy, and at first glance, the information seemed to be correct.

Most of them are fine, just some of them are 2 or more pages long. If I was looking for information I wouldn't bother with such long ones.

There would be complaints if the information wasn't there, Fred, We have to remember that some members are not experienced with computers, and in particular, how to use a forum, so have provided as much info as is possible.

The reason some of them look like normal threads and are a bit long is that they started off as a normal thread and then it was realised that they contained helpful information that would be better suited to a fledgling FAQ section.
