C&T
...and I am in love!! I want one!! I have seen piccies before, on here plus books etc, but this was the fist one I have seen in the flesh! I hadn't fully appreciated how big they really were - and the only reason i didn't leave the Surrey Poultry with her was that she really wouldn't have fitted in our Eglu with our current pair... (and that now they only accept cash, I didn't have enough money with me! ) And blimey I bet they are just the best hand warmers in the world! I reckon I need a couple by next winter, one to sit on each foot of an evening to keep my feet warm! So I have a few months to convince OH to get a cube, and a bigger run... Cooks
I have two orps and I agree they are huge totally adorable and I was sold on orps when I first saw them at 'Falkor's' house the bug hits doesn't it.. Great idea about the cube, yes your right they would be tucked up for space in an eglu.. oooh bigger run you say?? *pulls chair closer* I love hearing about runs. C&T
Great idea about the cube, yes your right they would be tucked up for space in an eglu.. oooh bigger run you say?? *pulls chair closer* I love hearing about runs. I have a feeling I will be told to wait until we move - which is the sensible argument... But I am sure I could create a great run using the shed as one side... Perhaps I could convince OH to go away for a weekend, and build it (and stock it!!) in time for when he got back!! Perhaps even use half the shed as their coop.... I am sure half the junk in there could be thrown! Then I would have the Eglu for intros! Oh, this is meant to be I am sure...
Falkor
My WIR is built using the side of my shed and I have Orps....which I got whilst OH was away on business..and I cleared my shed out last week and chucked MORE than half of the stuff in there away!!! Def sounds like it is meant to be!!!!

Cooks
well it's normally referred to as 'leading each other astray' but.... I agree with Falkor great idea to use the side of the shed, I have seen hers and it's a fantastic run for her girls

mostin
And don't forget, if you really can't make them fit, do what I did and rehome a bantam Orp from a friend. Just as beautiful, but fit nicely into an eglu .
