Guest Posted April 14, 2010 Share Posted April 14, 2010 Hello I currently have 2 light sussex bantam hens. And in the process of building them a bigger area so i can get 2 more bantams. Alothough my girls are beautiful I wanted to get another 2 hens of somthing else. I was wondering what other bantams except pekins are out there ? ValerieR Posted April 14, 2010 Share Posted April 14, 2010 Hiya I am a real newbie to chicken keeping but I have just got 2 pekins and a serama bantam which is gorgeous and teensy-tiny - even smaller than the pekins. I read that you can get rhode island red bantams which are friendly and orpington bantams although they are still pretty hefty. I look forward to reading the replies of the folks who know about these things as I am already lusting after more bantams myself! (Maybe "lusting" isnt the right word but you know what I mean!) eve Posted April 14, 2010 Share Posted April 14, 2010 hi i have two light sussex batams and two marrans bantams. the marrans lay alot bigger egg than the sussex.ive had them since aug last year pol. im new at this to .my marrans lay alot better than the sussex do but the sussex love my little boy even let him stroke them, were as marrans are alot more nervous bout beinging handled. Just checked on google maps so isnt too far. I wont be getting these bantams until June/July time so I hope they would have them in stock. How much did you get them for ????
