Last week has been a big week for my girls!

 

Both have laid their first egg. Unfortunately Toph laid one softie and nothing else since....but Suki is on a roll!!

 

 

Today's egg is teeny!!

 

 

 

But this week we also converted our garden shed into a new WIR!! We wanted to rip it down as it dominates the garden...but as we started to pull it apart, we found a solid concrete base and with part of the walls down, it let so much light in the garden! So inspiration struck...and now the girls are our their low level run and in their new home!!

I had a couple of sheds and pulled them down and then we realised we had the space for chickens! D'oh.

 

You have done a great job of converting it.

It was a lot of hard work...wire is EVIL in confined spaces but completely worth it!!

 

Even more good news is that Toph has just laid her first 'real' egg!!! A Beautiful small but perfectly formed egg!!
