alih
Is anybody watching this? Am finding it very moving and brilliantly understated. Good to see the tragedy from the point of view of the women and their mothers rather than the condemnatory view of prostitutes we so often get. Truly heartbraking. At work I see a lot of heroin addicts and the young women are often the saddest cases. Makes me think my stressing about my daughter's GCSE revision isn't really up there on the difficult scale! PurpleTree
I've been watching it, and really enjoying it. Glad I made the effort as I don't normally watch much telly in the evenings.
Alis girls
also watching and despite not having girls feel the mums pain They are portrayed as "nice normal" families which just shows drugs can get hold of anyone and drag them down. 5 lives lost and one at least was a mum so sad
BeckyBoo
missed the first one but caught it last night - thought it was very good, not sensationalised or full of over the top violence, quite realistic BeckyBoo
alih
I agree - good to see that it is still possible to see genuine drama which is not hysterical and over-dramatic! All the more poignant that it is true. A colleague of mine prosecuted the trial and said it was the most pressurised trial he had ever fought due to the media circus but as a dad he felt it very acutely too.
