baberella
Urgh, have had the chickens for two weeks and i worry about them so much! I dont think i inspect and ponder and worry about every last poo of my children!!! I am sure i read they were easy to lokk after! I worry about have they layed an egg, bluebell is sneezing, one of them did a bright yellow poo, one did a couple of watery ones that look like egg white surrounding the poo! is this normal? I also worry are they bored, eating well, dry, warm, safe etc the list is endless!!!
Carol U
I can well remember being at your stage. I even used to rush out in my nightie in the early hours if I heard a strange noise - just in case the fox had somehow unlocked the run and eaten through the double shell of the eglu! Both you and the chooks will soon settle down, I promise. Don't worry about the poos - they come in all shapes and sizes, including the ones you mention and are completely normal. Just try to relax and enjoy them. If they have food, water and safe shelter, they won't come to much harm.
Alis girls
My chucks are better behaved than the kids and they put themselves to bed. No whinging no dragging it out - straight in Eglu door shut "goodnight god bless etc" My girls sleeping quarters resemble ES looks like a tornado passed thro. Oh but sooo much less trouble
