AJuff
After ten chooks decided to sleep together in one green eglu leaving a new purple one sat empty I decided to buy a cube. Problem solved . . i sold the purple eglu to a friend and bought a purple cube. Don't ask me why but I've always missed the purple eglu so when my friend asked if I'd like to buy it back i said Yes. Oh thinks it's on loan!!!! I now have one cube and two eglus!!! It's a terrible addiction!!! . . . . The things I've bought as a result of this forum . . .and those John Lewis cushions too!!!!!!! atsw
I realised last night, having been up the garden late in the evening to pop some stuff in the compost heap, that my two older girls (Fifi and Anna) have abandoned their Eglu and roost on the old bench in the WIR. No idea how long this caper has been going on, but it would seem I have one (somewhat broody) Pekin in the lower Eglu and all the other hens in the top one. This type of carry on does nothing to counter their 'daft chook' reputation . I was wondering why the poo levels in the Blue Eglu had gone down recently and why the bench was absolutely plastered - Well, now I know . It would seem my girls have been in comunication with ANH's lot . Andrew
Plum
You'll be able to send Sha one of your eglus then. I love your bench in the run
chickyhazel
More houses = more chickens! Perhaps you should start hinting that you "need more chickens to fill the space in the houses..."
