What makes a chicken coop easy to live with?

The Nutri-drops arrived today and reading the instructions it says to give the drops directly to the bird. I thought it was going to be a product I could add to to the drinking water or mix in with some pellet porridge.

 

Has any one used this and added it to water or food?

Yes, i've mixed it into pellet porridge before.

Its ok in pellet porridge, I would probably give it direct where you are really worried about the hen but in porridge as a pick me up its fine

 

You could put it in the water but I'd be surprised if they drank it!

I have only given it, direct in a beak to a disgruntled girl

 

I reckon they perk up in 30 minutes as they don't want another dose

 

In seriousness, I was very worried about my Silkie a while ago, was set for a vet trip, thought I'd try the nutri drops first, and she was back to her old self in no time, so no vet trip needed

It is being used as a pick me up for the whole flock after being on a course of Baytril. I will try it in pellet porridge.

I'm grateful that you did ask because I've never used Nutri drops before, & I've ordered some straightaway, it looks just what I need for a poorly hen, so thanks for raising the subject.

I have used them both ways - they don't seem to like the taste when given directly, but by goodness does it work!!

 

It seems to be more palatable to them in porridge though, but the effects aren't so obvious.
