obsessed already

We have our new (cube green) and after spending the morning setting it up off we went to bring home our new girls. How exciting. We got 16 week old hybrids 2 goldlines and 1 nera. The ones we chose spoke to me - honest and had to come with us - my husband couldn't believe I had picked up the first hen and had it in my arms in the blink of an eye.

Once home we put them straight into the cube and left them alone to settle and were very pleased when a few hours later they came out to explore. They are obviously stressed so we are just going to leave them - a bit difficult with an excited 5 year old.

Anyway hello to Missie, Lolly and May. We have seen them eat but I'm now worried about whether they have worked out how to use the glug.... I keep watching... :):):)

Missie and Lolly have definately worked out how to operate the glug but I haven't caught Maisie using it......who you will notice has been renamed. My DH didn't like May and actually she looks more like a Maisie.

They have bravely ventured out today and are exploring their run but also just sitting down in the run quite a lot - it looks like they are just lazing around - is that normal I had assumed they would be up and pecking around constantly other than bed time - do they rest or is there something wrong?

Thank you
