Just wondered, as while browsing the forums I flicked down to see who was on line, and if you look, it says highest ever usage was Thu Mar 27, 2008 2:25 pm, and their were 214 users on line!

 

Had someone posted where to get free hot pies? That the world was about to end? That Omlet were about to reveal a new eglu?

 

Ideas anyone? I wasn't on the forum then and I'm dying to know!

I think that was when we planned to all come online

... but then because everyone was on, all the bots came online to see too, and the number went up

We used to have arrangements to see if we could break the previous years record, always on a date in September, and as many as could would log on. During a forum changeover, this figure appeared, probalby a glitch, and we haven't bothered since, as we are very unlikely to top that.

actually - this is all a big fib

 

what really happened was - omlet were giving away special golden tickets to their magic chicken factory, and 5 lucky children were going to be chosen to visit the factory and one of them would get a special prize.
