Blocked email ?

Recommended Posts

You can set up message rules in your email account so that they don't get through.

If someone is hassling you, why not report them to their email provider?

It's possible to set up the message rules to "bounce" an email so that it looks like a wrong address.

You may have to log in to your email account via their web-site (i.e. I have a Tiscali (ex-lineOne) account) rather than do it via Outlook (or your local computer based email programme)

Thought so :( How else do you deter nasty emails ?

Is this from someone you know? If so, treat the emails in exactly the same way you would if the text were in a letter.

If, as I suspect is more likely, this is from a source you don't know, then blocking the email is the best option. More importantly, sending a response to a blocked email is actually a bad idea, since it demonstrates your email address is live. Many spammers email all sorts of email address combinations (or addresses from lists they've bought) and simply look to see who responds, even with an automated reply, then increase the traffic to those addresses.
