Daffodill
This is Fudge my Buff Orpington. She has now laid 15 eggs in a row with no breaks-Is this a lot? I know I cannot stop her laying but I think she is starting to look a bit shabby- well you would wouldn't you after that I know I would worry if she wasn't laying and now Iam worrying cause she is- I'm just one of those mad omlet women (quote from the breeder I bought her off)

sewitall
She doesn't look shabby in the picture so I am guessing it was taken before the egg marathon. Fudge as a name definately suits her. I don't think I have seen a question of having too many eggs in a row without a break so I would be interested in any answers you get to this. Daffodill
In answer to Mollie -I don't think she is a bantam- her father was huge Got another egg today and realised we had miscalculated so we are on 17 in a row now Thanks for all the nice comments
Ain't Nobody Here
She's a beauty . I seem to remember one of mine laying for a couple of months without a break . It's not too uncommon - enjoy it while it lasts (that girl of mine obviously used up all her eggs - she doesn't lay at all now ).
