I was just wondering if anyone had made an automatic door for the cube? I know you can get a

vsb auto sensor door kit but wanted some experience notes

Hi, just to say I would be interested in finding out more about this too.

 

Those vsb auto door openers are designed to work with vertical sliding type doors, so am not sure whether it is possible to convert them to working on the sliding door of the cube.

Not heard of anyone make one for the cube. Guess if it's attached to a WIR you could fix it to that.

I've not seen anyone try to make a cube door auto

 

I guess the next best thing would be to butt it up against a WIR and have an auto pophole on the inside of the WIR 'port' leaving the actual cube door open all the time

well ive bought a VSB auto door sensor and silver door, it has just arrived so all i need to do now is make a frame to fit over the door and bobs my uncle.

 

Just to keep the little ones nice and snug and safe when they go to sleep.

Will watch this with interest. I asked the same question when I got my girls but drew a blank. I was hoping someone would come along and adapt something.

well i've just attached the automatic door to keep the girls a bit more snug at night, it looks a bit pants in comparison to the cube but once i stain the wood i'm sure it will look fine.

 

I really think omlet should make some sort of automatic door it would be well worth the money. I will sleep a lot better knowing they have a bit more safety (even though the WIR is fox proof).

 

I haven't quite finished yet but here is a picture so you get the idea. And a pic of the girls just over a week after getting them

cheers lewis im pleased I managed to get it connected, it just needs varnishing like the rest of the run plus maybe ill spray the silver a funky yolky yellow
