gargan
I decided that my Nera was a girl. Once that was clear, I had to get a cockerel, since I couldn't wait any longer. So, please meet the new member of the gang: Apparently, he is a Bluebell cockerel; I suppose one that made it through the screening net. He is not a pure breed, I know, but we don't care and already love him very much. The girls accepted him immediately and he is settling well. He is around 25 weeks old and has not crowed yet. Gelbel
What a handsome young man. Does he have a name yet? If not, may I suggest Joseph due to his wonderful technicoloured coat of feathers?

gargan
Thanks! Well, I am afraid we are not that good with names. My little son has named his hen "Thomas" and we call the cockerel "Socrates"! @Mollie333: BTW, I am sorry for your loss.
