RRRisnewtochickens
Hi all Another sexing question, last one I promise! Do you reckon this one is a Bertha or a Dave? He/she is 6-7 week old buff orpington. Many thanks, Ria

Lewis
Buff orps are normally late developers, so I'd say Dave too.
RRRisnewtochickens
I knew they took a bit longer than the others to know for sure, but thought I'd try early - I hate not knowing! I admit I thought he was a Dave for a while as his comb went quite red but it hasn't changed one bit over the past week, not in size or colour, which got me thinking maybe he was a Bertha instead! We've actually gone and got another buff orp as we thought he was a Dave, but there isn't much difference in their combs, which again got me thinking. So how long before we know for sure do you think? What do you think of this one? 9 -10 weeks old.

RRRisnewtochickens
The first two piccies are of the same chick, 6-7 week old. And the third piccie is of a 9-10 week old chick.
