New hens not going into Eglu Go Up

...do your ladies fart when they poo???

 

I have been watching the chooks most of the day, and twice now one of the red bantams has made a rather squelchy, farting noise when pooping! Is this normal, or is there something wrong with it's diet?

 

(And for those with strong stomachs, it's mostly smelly liquidy poos!)

Mine dont as a rule but a broody hen will eject a stinking great poo along with several noisy flourishes

 

Has your red bantam been broody?

LOL I know, sorry...! As my name would suggest I'm pretty new at this chicken keeping lark, and every little noise/action makes me worry something is wrong

 

Nope not broody at all - but it is the bully of the group!

Mine have been doing the same today. I think it is because they have been drinking a lot as they were wormed last week.

Mine too! I was sat on the bench with a friend watching them in their run..telling her how lovely they are etc. etc. All was peaceful then suddenly this noise.... my friend looks at me, I look at her and we both burst out laughing! The culprit just casually walked around the run pretending it wasnt her bottom that just erupted
