bennett
So my Pink Cube has arrived today, have searched for Instructions and there are none. I also ordered the chick converter for my Eglu, which has also come without Ties or Instructions, and the chick base doesnt fit, so now i have got to faff around cutting it . For 500 pounds i dont expect to have to print of my own instructions or take a trip to B and Q because they havent put the correct items in. Telephone call in the morning i think! Guest
Dear Bennett, I am sorry to hear that you have experienced problems with the chick converter and that the zip ties and instructions were missing from your delivery. The instructions and zip ties should have been included in the set which are packaged by our supplier. I will ensure that all chick converters currently in stock are checked and all parts are present and correct. I apologise that you have had to go out of your way to obtain zip ties and to print the instructions off our website, if you would like me to send out a hard copy of the instructions please let me and I will be happy to do this for you. As a side note - the chick converter has been produced to fit the eglu classic Mk2 as the base of the Eglu Classic Mk1 is slightly smaller which will result in customers having to trim the converter down to make it fit. If there is anything else that I can do to help, please do let me know - send me a PM or call me at the office on 0845 4502056 Thanks. Omlet's response did amuse me as mine came without the ties & instructions over a year ago and at that point others had suffered the same issue, also blammed on the supplliers and they were checking the stock! Guest
Omlet's response did amuse me as mine came without the ties & instructions over a year ago and at that point others had suffered the same issue, also blamed on the suppliers and they were checking the stock! Tracy Thanks for that Tracy... that is slightly embarrassing then.... I am afraid I did not work for Omlet a year ago so was unaware of the history, so I do apologise for repeating what was promised last year and that not been followed through. Chuckov
Mine arrived yesterday, still minus the tags and instructions so clearly still very much an ongoing issue...very speedy resolution though with the missing bits arriving today! (There are only 69 tags instead of the 70 though.... ) I'll let you off if all my chicks hatch

prof
Oh no. im so sorry that yours leaks too. I got my new cube (the third) and the omlet guy put it up and then we tested it for leaks with the watering can. This cube had apparently been pre assembled and tested for leaks before they sent it out to me . Anyway, it leaked . I was so annoyed as this had been going on since i ordered it in jan. We tried changing the roof panel for my old one and this solved most of the leaks. it was amazing to see how much the size and shapes of the panels varies. My neighbour also got her replacement cube(as her 1st leaked) on the same day. This had also apparently been pre assembled and tested . This leaked too . Although we and the omlet guy spent ages swapping the panels with her old one about we couldnt get a cube which didnt leak. I was told initially that the cube was being re-tooled and that i could have a new one when this process had been done . My friend has been told that re-tooling was now not necessary. The designer has apparently solved the problem. We are still both waiting to have our leaking cubes fixed. Perhaps Quin can post the answer?????? We would love to know about any progress and what the solution that the designer has come up with is.
TAJ
What is its location? The reason I ask is after almost a year of being fine my cube started leaking and whatever I did didn't seem to work. Our supposedly flat patio is obviously not exactly flat as we discovered after cleaning if it is put back in its 'normal' location it is absoultely fine, but if we put it about 30cm further along the patio it leaks - to the eye the difference is not visible, but clearly it is enough to make the water flow the wrong way and not down the channels to the back as it should do. As long as we put it in the specific position we have no leaks at all - move it 30cm and we cannot control the leaks! Tracy
prof
how wierd mine is on level ground within a large free range area. When our 2nd cube was errected this was errected and tested with watering can on level ground within this area, but in a different position as my first was still up and in place. My 3rd cube was errected on the site of our first one.
Jossy
Gosh I had no idea there were problems with the cube! I've had mine for 6 weeks and hasn't leaked once, even when we had that awful torrential rain last week, everywhere here flooded, but the girls stayed dry I was amazed. So pleased with mine, I hope you get your problems solved quickly so you can enjoy having your cube. Jossy
Christian
Perhaps Quin can post the answer?????? We would love to know about any progress and what the solution that the designer has come up with is. I think that you need to contact Omlet personally for an answer to the above prof, as Omlet rarely read the forum. I know that Quin is busy working at Shows all over the country and is unlikely to be in the office or online.
