lillybettybabs
One of my new girls likes to have a mid morning snooze, At the moment she is sleeping on top of one of the wheels but i would like to put something in there for her to roost on properly now i have an extentsion for the Cube. An ideas of what could work?
Redwing
The IKEA wooden slatted show racks seem to be a favourite on here CLS wood from timber merchants 2" wide is good - is slightly rounded at the corners which is ideal
poachedegg
Ours like broom handles which we (well OH ), pokes through either side of the run and secures with cable ties. We also have a mezzanine level made from old cube wooden roosting bars and freestanding perches - so they have plenty of choice.

Cinnamon
Broom handles are not ideal as they are rounded, but anything squared would be fine. Mine have lots of interesting logs which they like to perch on too
lillybettybabs
Iv'e just found a nice piece of thick flat beading in the other halfs "junk cupboard" that fits ok if i secure it with some cable ties. She's sussing it out already. Thanks guys
Plum
You could make one of these to go in the run

pipistrelle
I showed it to our carpenter mate (making the WIR), he said someone had too much time on their hands philistine I think it looks great and the chickens obviously like it
