veggiemad
Hello everyone. Our new ex batts are alot more flighty than our first few, so I think we are going to need to clip their wings before I can let them FR, as looking at how high they flap in the WIR, they will easily get over the omlet netting. However, its been a long time since my hen course and I dont feel very confident to clip them now. If anyone lives near me - Coventry CV4, and would be happy to help me clips 7 hens wings, in exchange for tea and cake, me and DH would be very grateful. Thankyou
Christian
Sorry, too far from me, but this might help? http://www.omlet.co.uk/guide/guide.php?view=Chickens&cat=Chicken+Care&sub=wing+clipping
brambles
There's a poster called kenilchick from kenilworth - might be worth a search and pm? I'm not planning to go to kenilworth for a while but if you're still stuck in a few weeks pm me and I'll drop in on my way to mum's.

littlehenny
I don't live near enough, sorry but a word of reassurance. We recently bought 2 POL warrrens and had to clip their wings. It was really, really easy!! I held her, wrapped in an old towel, with the wing to be clipped out. You then fan it out and I got my lovely OH to cut about an inch or so off end. It was done in seconds Do you have a friend who could hold them while you clip? I was really nervous at first but now wouldn't hesitate to do it. Why not try with one and see how you get on? I think you'll be fine
