Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Hi, hope someone can help. My sister-in-law got a Rhode Island Red - ooh, I would guess going on about 12 weeks - and we are starting to wonder if she might be a he! She/he has got VERY long/tall legs and got a few dark brown/black tipped feathers on its tail. All we keep saying is look at those legs! They are just really really long - the poor things looks totally out of sort, with her/his 'bloomers' as I call them high above the knees. Any thoughts would be welcome. PS. the comb is non-descript at this stage... Thanks!

The lack of a comb is a fairly hopeful sign.

Rhodes are pretty gangly until they grow into themselves. some black in their tail and hackles is pretty normal. Here's a photo of mine at that kind of age, boy left, girl right - hope it helps

Just did another check on the calendar, and I was way out - this girl/boy is going on 19 weeks!
