patsylabrador
My eldest son came home yesterday with two black eyes and a nasty cut/lump on his forehead, he was giving a farewell speech, standing on a table at his leaving do. He fell off and knocked himself out. He's done four oversea tours and came home from those in pretty good nick considering, and damages himself on his last day in the army. I would have liked to have kept an eye on him for a couple of days but he's just left for some adventure in New Zealand for a few months. The good news is that he's sold his BASE jumping rig, I hated him doing that.

The Dogmother
Chucking yourself off a high thing like a crane, cliff or building with a parachute strapped to your back
Olly
gosh - I guess that even after all the things he's been through, you're never going to stop worrying about him - a bit ironic to fall off a table after what he's been doing recently! Glad it was nothing more serious, and even though he's gone away again, I hope you're feeling slightly easier knowing that he's not on active service any more. patsylabrador
sorry that made me laughit's just typical isn't it one of my brothers friends is in bomb disposal, apparently he's the most clumsy guy my brother knows Well, it is funny and ironic. We all laughed anyway. Olly, saying goodbye this time was alright because he is so excited about his course and the fact that he can grow his hair long! Tiggy, we say he is an ASE jumper because he never jumped from a building. His favourite was a fjord cliff in Norway called kjerag , it has a shelf that juts out and you hurtle towards it and at the last moment thermals lift you over it. Sounds awful to me. I read that so wrong and wondered how you had got past th emods. I can see the thrill of base jumping but I'm far to sensible/chicken
