The idiot hound question again....

Brilliant! :lol: i love the pictures.

Ruby thinks too hard about things - I tried to teach her to lie down. I thought it would be easy as she does a very good sit and gives a paw. But that's all she does. I've shown her and shown her and all she does is sit up again and give me her paw. With a very intent look that says "I KNOW this is what i need to do to get that treat!"

And she keeps getting lost on our walks - she disappears into the hedge and emerges further down the field. I can see her and i can shout her, but she still panics and runs round as if she's lost us! :roll::lol:

At least she's innocent in it all - we have two dogs who you can see thinking "I can hear you but I'm not even going to turn roud........ :P "

I used to have a collie x springer that did this. We were convinced he had a terrible sense of direction as he was always leaping out of hedges/long grass and looking confused/panicked about where we were. He never seemed to be able to follow the direction of our voices when we called him.

 

It's clearly a springer thing then!
