stoneleigh17
Can anyone answer my question regarding reconditioned or ex display eglus or cubes from Omlet? Do you only get the item eg an eglu or do you get the glug/grub, shade etc and equally important the returns guarentee and after care service? Many thanks for any info
Patricia W
I got the lot - grub, superlug etc. It was all brand new. I think mine was probably used for shows etc. I'd really recommend them. However, I've also bought a pre-loved one - which is great too! Tricia
Janty
My purple one came with everything too. That was a re-con.
Ain't Nobody Here
When I got my recon eglu, the only thing that was recon was the actual eglu. Everything else was brand new .

superchickens
Sorry this might be a daft question but how do you find out about buying a reconditioned eglu? I might be having a blonde day but cant find them on the site?
Guest
Sorry this might be a daft question but how do you find out about buying a reconditioned eglu? I might be having a blonde day but cant find them on the site? Hi superchickens - used/reconditioned eglu products only show up on the website when they are available and you can usually see these by looking at the shop under the product in question and you will see a like 'used - click here' and this will then bring up a list of what is available. At the moment we don't have any used cubes for sale or any classics so you will need to keep an eye on the website to see if anything comes up... *** Just to make it clear - products that are returned to Omlet as faulty are s"Ooops, word censored!"ped and the plastic recycled into creating another eglu product so faulty items are not resold on to other people... *** Thank you. jill the potter
just to say; that I 'personally' don't think the glug and grub are important as they are not particularly well designed as chooks do not really like using them as they don't like to have their head immersed in a feeder where they cannot see what's going on around them, and that most people end up -as I did - having both glug and grub spare as the girls prefer more traditional feeders/drinkers. I think it's another matter of style over substance!!! That's why you see so many of them for sale!!!
Ain't Nobody Here
Have to disagree . My girls are perfectly happy with their grub/glug .
Chook n Boo Mum
Have to disagree . My girls are perfectly happy with their grub/glug . Me too, I have 3 of each in the WIR, plus 2 super glugs & all are well used by my rabble
Patricia W
Most of mine love the grub and glug, but I found my ex-bats have some difficulty with the grub. I think it's because their beaks have been clipped and it somehow stops them getting enough food from the grub - so they just scoop it out and chuck it on the floor where they can peck it up! Either that or they just can't adapt to eating at the level of the grub. Anyway, I resorted to a floor standing feeder from the pet shop last week and it seems to be working better. I suspect it won't last as long as the grub though. By the way, another point for reconditioned Omlet products - they are fully covered by the Omlet guarantee just like the brand new ones. I''ve been very happy with mine - and saved a bit more by picking it up myself. Tricia
jess1merlin
Mine love eating out of their grub so long as they like whats inside! They did not get on so well with the super glug as the one would insist on jumping on the top of it and drinking causing the water to become really dirty. We now use a gravity drinker and she seems happy with that.
sage
I got a recon cube & it's great no problems at all. Didn't get a run as it up against a WIR. My Ex batts use the super glug as well as normal water bottles but not tried them on the grub. Sage

Chickybocker Glory
Hi Quin, Thank you for the reassurance re: returned/faulty cubes. Very reassuring. I also have to disagree with folk that have found their chooks don't like the glug and grub - mine stuff their heads in very often and very readily!
