Mollie333
Hes still coming to you if he's a boy, if thats OK? He is lovely, quite friendly.. He is beautiful isn't he!? Thanks, the chicks will be going back if there boys. One has HUGGGEEE wings and tail feathers now.. Are these (faster developers) Boys? I read that Big wings - girl, small wings- boy. But they all have huge wings so i don't know!
tom123
No problem, I actually have a couple of girls his age destined to be new girlfriends Generally the ones that grow their feathers faster are girls. From the pictures I can't really tell too well if they have many feathers or not

Mollie333
Pictures of all three chicks! Number one! Some feathers, hugeee wings. Number two, really big wings with black on already and big tail feathers. Number three, quite small wings, hardally no feathers on tail ect, really fat.. Biggest chick, first to hatch.. Number four, generally small, was the last to hatch and i didnt think he would make it. what do you think? Egluntyne
I think no 2 might be a girl, mollie.
Lewis
3 and 4 may be boys ... first to hatch tends to be a boy, apparently and being bigger and less feathered sounds boyish too. Can't see their combs though, but #1 looks like it has a diddy comb?
Mollie333
They all have tiny combs lewis xx

Chook n Boo Mum
Griffin is the resident Lt Sussex sexing expert .....send her a pm, she'll probably ask for some "face-on" photos. I'm not even going to hazard a guess..though I might go back through my photos from last year later & see if I can make a slightly educated guess............ Jools
Are they all the same breed and age? While I'm not confident at sexing them so young, girls do feather more quickly than boys, so I'd say 1 & 2 are girls and 3 & 4 are boys. However, I'd be more comfortable with photos of them when they're 3-4 wks old, as the comb and wattle development (or lack of) is the usual giveaway for me. My (nearly) Silver Sussex chicks were very obvious by then.
