4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hi all ive heard that if you put a garlic clove in the hens water it is like/or better than using garlic powder (and a damn sight cheaper!) A just have a few questions;

Do i put it in both superglugs or one?

How many times a week?

Does eating too much garlic hurt the hens?

I give them garlic power in the grubs and they love it, its a nice little pick me up for them, i might get some acv too next time i nip to the pet shop which is going to have to be this week as im running out of food!

I've only ever used the powder (£6 from my local horsey place for a large tub) but I've read that hens often just pick the cloves out of the water .

I put one segment of fresh garlic (minced) into 3 litres of water, they love it and yes they do "bob" for the bits of garlic they have it every other day.

If your cakes start tasting of garlic, you know you've added too much

 

I tend to add the powder in with treats
