Tupperware Problems

Recommended Posts

All my old Tupperware feels like it has a thin sheen of grease all over it. :? I have tried washing it in hot soapy water, putting it through the dishwasher and soaking it overnight in Milton's solution, to no avail.

I don't really want to throw it out as it is in such good condition (apart from the grease!)

Any ideas anyone?

Have you thought about contacting Tupperware to ask them what they think? I'm sure you can't be the only person who has had this problem. I still have quite a lot of Tupperware that is about 30yrs old and still in use, in fact I'm using a few bits for my hens food, not noticed any problems with any grease problem though :!:

I think I know what you mean as I have a couple of 50 year old cylindrical containers. It looks like it has a bloom on it that doesn't come off and feels matte and grubby, a bit sticky too? To be honest I haven't tried to get it off as I only use them for chicken food.

Edited to add: Mine are from the 'Millionaire Line', and are dated 1954  They have a picture of a seal on too
