Ive used a pressure washer for a while to clean the crud off my eglu but now its seems that water is getting into the main body of the eglu, Im not sure if it will matter, is there anything I should do?

This always happens to me. It gets in through the hole at the top on the inside. I don't think there's anything we can do about it...

 

Thanks for reminding me to pressure wash mine- it's long overdue!

Pressure washers are very strong aren't they, we don't have one but I know someone who used one on their conservatory roof and ended up with water all over the floor as the pressure was so great compared to a hose pipe

Best to block the air hole up before pressure washing - it is there due to the forming process I believe - not much help now though, sorry!

 

I seem to remember, James at Omlet saying it was ok to drill a tiny hole on the inside of the shell, at the bottom where the pin goes through. Maybe I dreamt it, as I can't find it anywhere

that sounds like a good idea Christian, I can hear the water sloshing around in the bottom

Someone on here did that and it worked very well

 

If you are worried that something (red mite) may enter the hole it would be a good idea to seal it afterwards though

Someone used osmosis to empty the water. I think they put a string in the water in the hole with the other end of the string hanging down outsied and then osmosis made it drip out. I remember thinking - how clever!

OH drilled a hole in the bottom yesterday & it all drained beautifully, have made a plug from blue tack, its so much lighter to carry now

Ive got water sloshing around in the hatch door - cant find any holes in it so have no idea how it got in - I only used a brush and a bucket of water to clean and a very low pressure hose to rinse it off

 

Do you think I should drill a hole in the bottom of this part too to let the water out?
