Luvachicken
Well, the fly trap is nearly full again and I really don't want to find maggots in it again - it has only been up for a couple of weeks. I was wondering if you could tip the contents through a sieve and keep the liquid part to use again ?
Egluntyne
The stench will blow your socks off. I would urge you to not bother.

Luvachicken
Sorry, only just got back on here. Thanks you two - hubby emptied the contents into a carrier bag with holes in to strain the offending stuff and put the liquid back in. Well done him I say

Egluntyne
It will be interesting to hear if it still does its job, as it no longer has that lovely whiff of carrion.

karlotta
Where would anyone suggest buying refills for fly traps. Mine is looking pretty full!
Luvachicken
Egluntine, it does still whiff and it is still catching lots of flies - they are just a bit lower down I got my refills when I ordered the fly trap - they come in little canisters like the old film rolls . Good job my hubby has a strong stomach
penelope
I've just returned from holiday to find mine full to the top with a stench emitting from the garden like a whale has died in the garden!! We were doing a run to the dump so I put it in a tub with a lid. I dropped it in the bottom of a new skip at the dupm & had was so embarresed when the lid came off, spilling its contents. I legged it before the stench & swarm of flys followed me! Penelope
