meezers
Dandelion is just over 10 weeks old. Behaviourwise I'm thinking girl - he/she is the most timid, grew tail & wing feathers same time as Delilah and has a flat comb, But has a small set of wattles, bigger than Muppets ( mums) but then Muppet is a bantam and Dandelion a large fowl, so I suppose they're going to be bigger anyway ? Opinions please Edited October 10, 2010 by Guest
craftyhunnypie
Definite girl - doesn't have the boy streamers ( head feathers) or other characteristics. Emma.x
Redwing
The wattles are a bit big for its age but I agree with CHP - girl Boys have swept back hairdos usually

meezers
Just updating this as Dandelion is now 20 weeks old . My Faverolles cockerel started crowing today and Dandelion answered him . I've read about hens who crow, am hoping she is one of them as I've been scanning the net and she looks nothing like the cockerels I've seen. I was wondering if she'd come into lay this year, now wondering if she'll come into lay full stop If she/he crows again I'll post some more pics so you can be confused as well. Charlottechicken
Maybe you could just post the pics anyway, would love to see her/him now
Lewis
Yup, post photos I'd think it would be a bit wierd for a hen to crow this young esp as she won't be laying, so its not an egg announcement, and if she's got a cockerel with her she won't have assumed that role
meezers
I'll post photos in the chickens section, rather than add them on here, look out for them.
