Gelbel
Hi, I segregated Madge to stop her living on the nest as she went broody last Monday. She seems to have got over it - put it this way today she is FRing when yesterday she spent some of the time staring at the nest box which I closed off once my other girls had laid when they were FRing. She has been eating her pellets and drinking well. I've stopped all treats recently so that nothing can (unknowlingly) up her temperature. But she does seem a bit subdued and, while her comb is not flopping and is nice and red, her face is pale. Do you think a nice bit of tuna will help her? And, if so, how much should I give her? Any advice would be welcomed.
Jools
She'll redden up once she comes back into lay again so I wouldn't worry too much about that. I'm sure she'd love some tuna but only a little (not in brine though). Mine never get tuna as I eat it all!!
Gelbel
Why did I not think of that? I did give her/them so tuna - with some poultry spice mised in. Ada went potty for it, Cissie decided to ignore and carry on FRing and Madge ate the crumbs Ada left on the floor and picked the bits off Ada's beak. And as that was quite alot she did get a reasonable amount. She's nearly back to being her normal noisy self today. I heard her 'meeping' at 6am and woke the DH to say, "Madge is back".
